Mechatronics

Mechatronics is a branch of engineering that focuses on the engineering and maintenance of both electrical and mechanical systems. It includes a combination of robotics, telecommunications systems, control, and product engineering.

The Mechatronics program is offered in an instructor-led virtual environment.

Successful completers of this program will be able to:

  • Have a genuine interest in the Mechatronics field.
  • Commit to studying a minimum of 4 hours per week
  • Commit to the process of learning the material for mastery of knowledge.
  • Receive a Passing score on the Technology entrance exam

A Certificate of Completion in Mechatronics prepares you for a career as a Mechatronics Technician, Industrial Machinery, Maintenance Technician, Electrical and Commercial Equipment Technicians. Mechatronics-based occupations frequently involve work activities that include practical, hands-on problems and solutions, and successful Mechatronics Technicians are able to search for facts and critically think through issues.

Total Time Commitment: 30 weeks instructor-led; 372 hours total
