Learners in this program are prepared to perform in a variety of pharmacy environments such as an HMO pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, and retail pharmacies like those found in drug stores and supermarkets. This program provides individuals with the theory and hands-on experience to function as a pharmacy technician. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to accurately process the information on a new prescription, request any missing information, list brand and generic drug names, dosage forms(s), and the route of administration for at least the top 100 drugs.
